This journal adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, which set global standards for the integrity of scholarly publications. These guidelines are designed to prevent ethical violations, ensure transparency, and uphold the highest ethical standards for all parties involved (authors, editors, and publisher).
This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the process of publishing articles in this journal, including the authors, the editor-in-chief, editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher, the Indonesian Educational Research Association. Preventing unethical publication practices is an important responsibility of the editorial board. This journal minimizes plagiarism and actions that violate norms and values.

This statement clarifies the ethical behavior expected of all parties involved in the publishing process of the International Journal of Educational Research, including the authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher (the Indonesian Educational Research Association).
Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal in the Journal of World Knowledge: Education is an essential component of developing a respected network of knowledge. It reflects highly on the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles embody and uphold the scientific method. Therefore, it is crucial to establish standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in publishing: authors, journal editors, journal partners, publishers, and the public.
As a publisher, the Indonesian Educational Research Association (APPI) is committed to overseeing all stages of publishing very seriously, recognizing its ethical and other responsibilities. We ensure that advertising, reprints, or other commercial revenues do not influence editorial decisions. Furthermore, the Indonesian Educational Research Association (APPI) and the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Educational Research facilitate communication with other journals and publishers when necessary.
Publication Decisions
The editor-in-chief of the Journal of World Knowledge: Education is responsible for deciding which articles should be published. This decision is based on the recommendations of the journal's editorial board and reviewers, and follows legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor consults with the editorial team and reviewers in making this decision.
Non-Discrimination
Editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
The editor, reviewers, and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, the editorial team, and the publisher, as appropriate.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used by editorial board members or reviewers in their own research.
Reviewer Duties

Reviewers advise the editor-in-chief in making editorial decisions and assist authors in improving the quality of their research papers. - Timeliness
The journal editors are committed to providing timely reviews to authors. If a reviewer fails to submit their report on time, the paper will be promptly assigned to another qualified reviewer. - Confidentiality
The contents of manuscripts are treated strictly confidential. Except for the editor-in-chief, editors and reviewers must not discuss the paper with anyone, including the author. - Standards of Objectivity
Editors and reviewers should evaluate papers based on their content. Review comments should be civil and reasoned.
- Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. Reviewers should notify the editor of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and any other published paper of which they have knowledge.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.
Author Obligations
- Reporting Standards
Authors should present an accurate description of the work performed and an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper, with sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.
- Data Access and Retention
Authors are asked to provide data for editorial review and should be prepared to provide such data within a reasonable time.
- Originality and Plagiarism
Authors should ensure that they have submitted entirely original works and have appropriately cited or referenced the work and/or words of others. Papers with such issues will be automatically rejected, and the authors will be notified accordingly.
- Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Submitting authors must confirm that the submitted paper has not been published and is not under consideration elsewhere. Simultaneous submission is unethical and unacceptable.
- Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others is required. Authors must cite publications that have influenced their research.
- Authorship of Papers
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the research. The corresponding author is responsible for notifying co-authors of the review process. Upon acceptance, all authors must sign a statement attesting to the originality of the research work.
- Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects
If the work involves chemicals, procedures, or equipment with inherent hazards, the authors must clearly identify these in the manuscript.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors should disclose any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
- Fundamental Errors in Published Works
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their own published work, they should promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate to retract or correct the paper.
